About Chiou Bing-Heng:

When Venerable Master Huiguang founded IBS, he had the idea of using art as a way to spread the Dharma, allowing everyone the opportunity to see the gentleness and richness within their own hearts through beauty and inspiration.

Eight years ago, while Master Huiguang was in seclusion to proofread the 600-volume Mahaprajnaparamita Sutra, an important Buddhist scripture brought back from India by Master Xuanzang, which recorded the wisdom from delusion to enlightenment.

That year was very difficult, and the Master had to walk through this era of the Tang Dynasty.

Chiou Bing-Heng came to IBS by chance, without seeing Master Huiguang, but walking around every corner of the temple. He had an incredible resonance with Master Huiguang, as if they were kindred spirits meeting again across time and space. There was nothing else, just the life scenery created by consciousness.

Then, Chiou Bing-Heng began to paint and write about IBS, and every stroke was like a gust of wind blowing from a thousand years ago... Chiou Bing-Heng said, "I use art to serve all sentient beings." This is the eternal wish of a Bodhisattva.
