Kagyu Lineage Thangka Art Print

The original painting of the "Kagyu Lineage Thangka" was created by Bhutan's renowned national treasure Thangka master, Master Thinley Norbu - the only living bloodline successor of the Menri style in Bhutan. The artwork took eight and a half years to complete, during which the artist endured immense hardship, dedication, struggle, pain, and countless challenges.

Bhutan's National Treasure Thangka Master

Master Thinley Norbu (天利諾布)

- Born in 1961 in Kheng, eastern Bhutan

- Sixth-generation sole bloodline successor of the Menri style of Bhutanese Thangka

- Disciple of Master KONTA, the fifth-generation Thangka master of the Menri style

- Officially appointed painter for the Royal Palace, the King's Office, and the National Office of Tashichho Dzong

- Co-founder of the Institute of Thirteen Traditional Arts of Bhutan, where he has taught and trained over 100 professional artists

- Lifelong contributor to Thangka and temple mural art, having completed more than 40 temple projects
