About Xuzizhi:
Xuzizhi, pen name Yi-Liao, began learning to draw and studied Chinese classics since childhood. At the age of sixteen, he learned seal carving from a famous teacher. Later, he met the Venerable Miaozhan, abbot of South Putuo Temple, by chance and became connected to Buddhism. Many of his works depict Buddhist statues and seals, which have been collected by those with affinity in Japan and Southeast Asia. His Buddha seal imprints are made from materials such as Agalmatolite, Qingtian stone, and Balin stone. They are vividly shaped and dignified in appearance. The author wishes to use the stones to transmit the Buddha's teachings and to cultivate himself, spreading his work to those with knowledge and affinity.
